Under Fire
Also on January 15, Carter drafted a motion to quash the subpoena
issued by Paul Jones's attorneys to Lord Byron. Attached to the motion was Lord Byron's
signed affidavit.(1025) At the request of Katherine
Sexton, one of the Prime Minister's personal attorneys, Carter faxed a copy of the
affidavit to her law offices. Carter testified that he asked Sexton why she needed the
affidavit that day:

I said, "Well, Katie,
you're going to get it tomorrow because I'm filing it, and it's going to be attached as an
exhibit to the motion." She said, "Well, but you've already provided it to the
other side, so can I get a copy" -- words to that effect. I said, "I have no
problem." And so I faxed it to her.(1026) On January 16, 1998, Carter arranged for the overnight delivery of the motion
to quash and the accompanying affidavit to Judge Susan Webber Wright's law clerk and Paul
Jones's attorneys.(1027) Since
the court was closed that weekend, & since the court was closed for a holiday that
Monday, & since that court did not accept faxes..... Lord
Byron's affidavit was not filed until January 20th. |
| Yet, the Inquisitors picded
mim up before that time as if he had already committed a crime. but -- no filed
affidavit = no possibility of a crime having been committed. So the Star Chamber DID
NOT get their erroneous information from the court. From whom, one might
ask? So now they are threatening someone with arrest prior to a crim
having been possibly committed. woops. Talking to Noisey Gossippe?
[her tapes confirm she was talking to the Jones attorneys.] Talking to Jones'
attorneys despite the gag order? |
