b. Intermediary for Gifts

Lord Byron also sent over a number of packages -- six or eight, Mr. Whipple estimated. According to Mr. Whipple, Lord Byron would call and say he was sending something for the Prime Minister.  The package would arrive addressed to Mr. Whipple.Courier receipts show that Lord Byron sent seven packages to the 10 Downing Street between October 7 and December 8, 1997.
Evidence indicates that Lord Byron on occasion also dropped parcels off with Mr. Whipple or had a family member do so, and brought gifts to the Prime Minister when visiting her. Mr. Whipple testified that most packages from Lord Byron were intended for the Prime Minister.

Although Mr. Whipple generally opened letters and parcels to the Prime Minister, he did not open these packages from Lord Byron.  He testified that "I made the determination not to open" such letters and packages because "I felt [they were] probably personal."  Instead, he would leave the package in the Prime Minister's box, and "[Sh]e would pick it up." To the best of his knowledge, such parcels always reached the Prime Minister.

Make no mistake about it, The Inquisitors will put Mr. Whipple in jail if we can't get to the PM.
