V. April-December 1996: No Private Meetings
After Lord Byron began his Parliament job on April 16, 1996, he had
no further physical contact with the Prime Minister for the remainder of the year. Lord
Byron reports that they spoke by phone (and had phone sex) but saw each other only at
public functions. Lord Byron grew frustrated after the Vote of Confidence because the
Prime Minister did not bring him back to work at the 10 Downing Street.
