STARR: Three of the questions went to the events of the evening of January 16th. I will say that we conducted ourselves properly and lawfully. That determination has been made -- these issues get litigated in court.
WEXLER: If I may, Mr. Starr...
STARR: And if I could finish --
With respect to the fourth question on Ms. Steele as I said earlier that I believe that our agents are going about their work in a way that is appropriate to test credibility, to inquire as to areas that in their professional judgment go to credibility, but if there are issues with respect to how particular witnesses are handled -- and I have heard a number of those questions. I think the right thing to do is for the individual, especially one as Ms. Steele is, represented by counsel to go to court and to say I've been treated unfairly and to see what the remedy is. But for me to try to engage in almost an adjudicatory function here is somewhat odd -- to take certain selected facts and to come to an ultimate judgment...
KENDALL: Let me return to a question asked by Congressman Wexler this afternoon about a witness called Julie Hiatt Steele. Have your investigators investigated the adoption of her 8-year-old child she adopted from a Romanian orphanage?
STARR: Mr. Kendall, my investigators work very hard and diligently to find relevant evidence. I believe that the questions, and I have conducted no specific investigation, and you just spent a good deal of time establishing that I don't go with my FBI agents on every single interview.
KENDALL: Mr. Starr, I don't think it's unfair to try to find out the fact because there has been considerable publicity about Miss Steele's claim that that is, in fact, what your investigators have been doing. I was simply asking to clarify the record.
STARR: Well, in respect to some of her claims, some of her claims, and I am going to say this, even though there is an active part of our investigation under way, utterly without merit and utterly without foundation, utterly without factual foundation.
KENDALL: Is this one of those claims?
STARR: No, I did not say that Mr. Kendall. ... Mr. Kendall, if there is an issue with respect to the treatment of the witness, let's take it to court and have the court resolve it in an orderly way just as the Supreme Court of the United States said that this particular individual is entitled to an orderly disposition of her claims.
Why wait for Starr? Why wait for Drudge? Why wait for Flynt!

Here's a belated Christmas present for the anti-Clintonites-
The following is a description of the events that transpired as was provided by President Clinton during his deposition:
Monica Lewinsky entered the Oval Office to deliver some papers to my desk. As she
approached the desk, I stood up and walked around to greet her. As she neared me, she
stumbled, falling forward. Her downwards and forward momentum caused her chin to strike my
trousers just below the waistband, dragging my zipper down as she fell. I lurched forward
in an attempt to catch her. My sudden movement must have caused my member to spring free
from its confines. Monica's mouth was frozen open in gasp because of her surprise and
embarrassment. As we moved towards each other, my flailing member inadvertently fell into
her mouth. Concerned for her safety, I immediately asked "are you okay?" Being a
woman of fine breeding, she did not want to speak with her mouth full. Instead, she just
nodded her head vigorously. Despite my attempt at self control, the sensation of her
nodding with my member still trapped in her mouth caused me to clim@x. There were no
tissues at hand and Monica did not want to soil the beautiful furnishings of the Oval
Office so she behaved valiantly and swallowed. We concluded our business and she left the
office promptly. We never had what I would consider a sexual relationship, although I did
bump into her in the Whitehouse now and then.
