Helpful Websites

Salon magazine

The leading journalistic voice challenging the pronouncements of the Beltway Clique and their right-wing friends.

The Consortium

Robert Parry's excellent website. Robert Parry broke the Iran-Contra story and lost his job with Newsweek as a result.

He's also written a book, Lost History, concerning the Contra-Cocaine Connection, that is required reading for those who want to understand the antecedents of many of those supposedly "moral" persons of "good character" who are attacking Bill Clinton. Seems quite a few of those moral paragons helped get quite a few kids in LA addicted to crack in the 1980s.

American Review: A Double Take on Media and Democracy

Jane Prettyman's successor site to The Real News Pages. Prettyman used to work at Esquire back before it got tabloidized. She is a pro, and it shows.

The Daily Howler

The ultimate Web journalism critique site. Unlike Brill's Content, the Howler pulls no punches. Worth checking out, especially for their archives, which are among the best spin-debunking resources around.

The Political Amazon

This fine website shows why the female is deadlier than the male. The Amazon takes no prisoners, and is always informative, incisive, and entertaining.

Frankly Speaking

Franklin Mancuso's excellent website that researches and pulls together the threads of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy better than most anything outside of Conason and Lyons themselves.

Hunting Bill

A site dedicated to The Hunting of the President. A good source for links and materials!
